“A fish soup celebration in the fish soup capital”

     

On the second Saturday of each July, the Baja Folk Festival takes place on the main square and adjoining alleys of this atmospheric city located on the Danube shore. In more than 2 000 pots, over open fire, the renowned Baja fish soup is cooked. The fish dinner spent in this 20 000- seat open-air “restaurant” is accompanied by international folk shows and folk music, and the event is concluded by fireworks.
