Munkácsy Mihály Museum –Békéscsaba
As permanent part of the Museum’s exhibition, the Munkacsy Remembrance Hall has been created. In addition to his
paintings and drawings, we can view a selection of photographs, written documents, and personal paraphernalia from the early life of this great painter born and raised in this city. Furthermore, you can see a reconstructed, furnished tent from the time of the Hungarian conquest, an ecological exhibition presenting the flora of the Körös region, an exhibition of the county’s history, the “Bíbic cottage” with its sizeable aquarium displaying the indigenous fish of the Körös Rivers, and an
archeological exhibition of Békés County.
