Gyula Castle Baths
The Castle Bath of Gyula is situated in the 8,5 ha park declared health resort which called Almássy country house formerly. The Hungarian Association of Baths awarded the highest 4-star qualification in the categories of both open-air bath and spa. The bath has 5000 m² water surface and 19 pools are available for the bathers. In the part of medicinal and open-air bath 16 pools can be found and of those 6 ones are provided with cost free adventure elements. The 72°C medicinal water of the Castle Bath arising from 2005 m depth can be used for treatment of locomotor disorders of wearing origin, chronic nervous complaints, rehabilitation after accident or operation, as well as for treatment of chronic inflammed gynaecological disorders successfully. The water of our Castle Bath is a medicinal water with alkali hydrocarbonate chloride content so the colour of the water is brownish owing to the high mineral content. Opening hours between 8:00 and 18:00, in summer between 8:00 and 20:00 Night wellness bathing each Friday and Saturday, between 19:00 and 24:00 while in summer between 20:00 and 24:00 on the same days.
A Bastion of Health in Gyula
The Gyula Castle Baths are located in the 8.5-hectare park of the former Almassy mansion. The park has been designated as a therapeutic site, adorned with over 25 000 flowers and near 100 kinds of trees, bushes and shrubs. Visitors seeking relaxation, recreation and sports can choose from a number of therapeutic, pleasure and swimming pools. The medicinal section is built on a spring whose water jets from a depth of several thousand meters and is tinted brown by its high mineral content. The children’s water paradise offers a mini wellness center enhanced with 10 unique elements, as a means to meet the ever increasing demand for a pleasurable way of recreation for the entire family.
