Art Nouveau masterpieces
The Ornate Palace of Kecskemét has been named after its intricate Art Nouveau decoration striving to part with the past, aiming for individuality. Its undulated wall surfaces, shiny roof tiles, porcelain inlay portraying motifs of plant and animal depictions make this building an architectural masterpiece.
Colorful majolica to decorate its walls had been shipped from the Zsolnay porcelain factory in Pécs. The flamboyant building is known as an Art Nouveau masterpiece, and it was also an inspiration for a folk song.
The Art Gallery of Kecskemet is operating within its walls.
Zwack Kecskemét Palinka Distillery
The Zwack family has been producing excellent pálinka in its manufacturing plant for decades and by now this product has come to the top of the success, owing to constant and enthusiastic work exerted by Mr. Sándor Zwack.
This Manufacture is the cradle of one of the most awarded pálinka production lines, namely of the famous Zwack Noble Brandy in Hungary. The visitor can obtain some information on the traditions of the pálinka production and can become
acquainted with the technological process and may look into the trickeries of the pálinka tasting. The visitor can buy special pálinka from its own Shop of the Manufacture.
